just some random post

grace's tag left me thinking...
it's true that as we gets older the things we want gets more expensive
and when earning power increase, spending power increases even more!
this is really really bad
every month when i get my paycheck,
most of it goes to retail therapy, bills, insurance, transportation, food, blar blar blar
and it seems so little is left for savings *faints*
i think i really need to start a record keeping track of what i'm spending on

does it happen to you ladies?
when you started work, it seem as thou every week or maybe every alternate week you'll shop for working clothes?

i remember during my schooling days, with the miserable pathetic pocket money i have, thou my retail therapy session were equally as much, i still have much to save.
why is it now that my financial status is much better compared to my schooling days, but my savings don't seem to make any improvement?? hmm... ...

Appraisal Vs Resignation & Work Culture

A newly-joined trainee engineer ask his boss, "What is the meaning of appraisal?"
Boss: "Do you know the meaning of resignation?"
Trainee: "Yes, I do."
Boss: "So let me make you understand what an appraisal is by comparing it with resignation."

Appraisal Vs Resignation

In an appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors and failures.
In a resignation meeting they will speak only about your strength, past achievements and success.

During and appraisal, they will deny promotions saying that you did not meet the expectation, you don't have leadership qualities, and that you have several drawbacks in reaching objective/goals.
During resignation, they'll say you are the core member of the team; that you are the vision of the company, and so "How can you go?"; you have to take the project on your shoulders and lead your juniors to success.

There is 90% chance of not getting any significant incentives after appraisal.
There is 90% chance of getting an immediate pay-hike after you put in your resignation.

Trainee: "Yes boss, good enough. Now I know what to do. When you are about to do my appraisal, I will resign."

i was happily on my way to work this morning
taking the NEL as per normal
and as usual the train is packed with people going to work
when the train reaches Farrer Park, 5 stupid idiots squeeze in!

hello! the cabin is already filled to the brim and there's no more space available
they just "Excuse me, excuse me" and squeeze their big butts in!
and continue to laugh and talk loudly as thou everyone in the cabin is dead!!
thank god they're not singaporeans or it'll be such a ugly sight

can't they enter into another cabin?
some other cabins still have space available! gosh~ what is wrong with them?? -_-"

Meet the Robinsons

It's a funny and touching movie. The kiddies love it =)

mr oke came and had dinner at grams. tasted her home cooked curry *yummy*

saturday was spend with mr oke. we watch liverpool match over at his place.

in actual fact we watch the first half together and the second half i was already in dreamland haha

sunday was shopping day with mummy dearest! we went to bugis for pedicure and shopping session!!

check out the strawberries!! hehehehe

back to work today *pouts*

i've been shopping nonstop...oh my god
this hobby has to stop!
working with ur besties doesn't help too cause you'll end up shopping together!
gosh~ shopping during lunch hours and after work is burning a hole in my pocket
hahaha we chuck up enough for bysi member card today during lunch hours
and we spend merely 30mins in the store!!

in the end we walk out happily with
-1 pinafore skirt
- 1 skirt
- 1 top

*bleahz* broke but happy haha
